The Mirror Doesn’t Lie (Part 2)
Getting back into a routine after the holidays can be tough. I’ve been there. Gone are the days you could sleep in, enjoy delicious meals, and ignore your calendars.
As you begin to ease into your normal routine, you might also be looking for motivation to get back into a fitness schedule. Or perhaps you’ve decided that this is the year you’re going to take control of your fitness. (And I’m so happy to hear that!)
In my previous blog post, I mentioned how getting to where you are (unhappy with your health) may have been the result of the decisions you’ve made in the past few days, weeks, month or even years. Therefore, transforming to a happy and healthy state won’t magically happen overnight.
Here are the 3 things that helped me the most when I needed to upgrade my health:
1. Work with a coach: Whether this is one-on-one, or in a small group setting. Having someone to guide you when workouts or life hurdles outside of the gym get tough, is very beneficial. A coach will help you look at your priorities and goals to help you make decisions that you know will get you to your end-state faster.
2. Keep it simple: The latest supplements won’t help much. Focus on keeping your hormones in balance as daily as possible. Try to get consistent sleep and nutrition; and – you hear this a lot – drink water! Our body’s cells can’t function the way we would expect them to if you don’t provide them with hydration!
3. Enjoy the journey: The one thing about training is that it’s never ending! From getting my first pull-ups to working on my handstands – there’s always something to achieve!
So, let me help you start your journey!
You can stay accountable and motivated with me in my 6-week fitness program “Summer Sweat” – which starts on January 14th!
This is an excellent program for anyone just starting out or to help you get back on track. If you have any questions, you can email me here.
