At CrossFit 416 we take a holistic approach to lifestyle, health and fitness; it is what sets us apart from other gyms and training programs.

Dan is the owner and head coach at CrossFit 416. Dan started CrossFit 416 back in 2011 with a mission to offer people a community where they were supported and encouraged to reach their fitness goals. Dan’s passion towards pursuing excellence in training and coaching has no bounds. As a coach he is committed to finding the right balance of life and training for every client, while continuing to find new methods to push the limits of everyone that walks through the doors at CrossFit 416. Accountability is very important to Dan in a coach-client relationship, he expects 100% effort from trainees and in return works to deliver the most effective training prescription and programming by continuing to enhance and upgrade his knowledge through experience, certifications, and workshops. Dan is a CrossFit Level 2 Coach, and holds CrossFit Movement & Mobility, CrossFit Olympic Lifting, and CrossFit Football certifications.

The team behind Crossfit 416!

Rachel started CrossFit in the fall of 2012. Since that time she has completed her Level 1 and Level 2 CrossFit Certifications.

As an athlete and coach she hopes to help each individual optimize strength, performance, and improve mobility to prevent injury.

Rachel has also completed her Darby Training Systems Level 1/PA, CanFit Pro, CPR/First Aid and is currently working towards her Level 1 in Fascial Stretch Therapy (Stretch to Win).


Andrew stumbled into the world of strength and conditioning. Looking for a way to stay fit and accommodate a busy schedule, he was recommended to try CrossFit in 2010. He was hooked from day one. He joined CrossFit 416 in 2011 as one of the first members. As the gym started to grow, he was asked to coach the odd class. Shortly afterwards, he was asked if would be interested in coaching regularly. It was an easy decisions and he immediately signed up for the CrossFit Level 1 course.

Andrew has continued his education in strength and conditioning with a focus on Olympic-style weightlifting, kettlebells and competitive CrossFit. He is an SFG (StrongFirst) certified kettlebell instructor, has completed the CrossFit Level 2, CrossFit Mobility course, attended the Outlaw CrossFit camp, attained his Attitude Nation Level 1 Weightlifting Certificate and is currently working towards his Ontario Weightlifting Association Level 1.


Robyn started doing Crossfit in 2013 on her own as a way to get back in shape and quickly fell in love with the sport. She found Crossfit 416 later that year and has been a dedicated member, and now coach, ever since.

As an ex-competitive swimmer and swim instructor, Robyn is able to take her athletic background and competitive nature and apply it inside the gym. She has a keen interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation by improving and maintaining proper strength and mobility.

From a family of 7 Crossfitters, she is surrounded by a wealth of information and exposure to the sport all the time. It’s not hard to understand why Crossfit is a very large part of Robyn’s life and why dedicating time to share her knowledge and love of it with others is her passion.

Robyn is a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer


Derya discovered CrossFit 416 in 2014 while passing by the gym to go to do a yoga class. As an avid climber CrossFit became her strength and conditioning fitness regimen.

She has a BSc on Biology and MASc on Zoology; however, she added a new career by studying Fitness and Health Promotion when she moved to Canada. Since then she pursues sharing her knowledge with others to help them achieve their goals. She continues to promote healthy and active living.

She currently holds CrossFit Level 2, CrossFit Weightlifting, CrossFit Gymnastics, CanFit Pro Personal Training Specialist certification.


Gys joined the Crossfit 416 community as an athlete in the fall of 2013. Thoroughly impressed with the quality of coaching and programming, he soon made 416 his second home. In 2015, he made the transition to coaching.

As a coach and personal trainer, he continually seeks to increase and improve his knowledge in all aspects of fitness and training, in order to help those he trains attain their fitness or performance goals. He currently holds his Crossfit Level 1 certificate, and is a Certified Eleiko Strength Coach.

David (D.K) / COACH

Looking for a challenge? David is a dynamic leader who encourages clients through his no-bull approach to training. Playing professional rugby from an early age fitness became a passion and natural step for David with a career in high end health that spans over a decade. “When we make a decision to look after our body that change bleeds through to other pillars of our life. Creating positive, happy and successful people”.

He is a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer, NSAM- PT, and holds CrossFit Weightlifting, CrossFit Anatomy, CrossFit Scaling, Kettlebell, and TRX Certifications

Hannah started CrossFit in 2015 in an attempt to improve her strength and conditioning for kettlebell sport competitions. After seeing tremendous improvement in both her strength and endurance and being challenged by her weaknesses, she was immediately hooked on improving herself as an athlete through CrossFit and specifically Olympic weightlifting.
Seeking to pass along her passion and knowledge for training, she started coaching soon after and found her home at 416 in 2017. Hannah takes a holistic approach to fitness, believing that a healthy mind, healthy lifestyle and healthy, strong body are all connected – you cannot truly have one without the other.
She currently holds her Level 1 certificate, CrossFit Weightlifting and CrossFit Gymnastics.
